My name is Heather Bisson and this is my 12th year in education. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010. I started my teaching career in January 2011 at Ellison High School. During my 4 years as a teacher, I taught Algebra 1, Pre-AP Algebra 2, Math Models, Geometry, and Pre-AP Geometry. I was the Assistant Swimming Coach from August 2012 – May 2014. In 2014, I joined the counseling team at EHS and worked with 9th - 12th graders. In 2018, I joined the amazing Salado High School family! The students and parents are wonderful and I am looking forward to another great year!
I am an Army Brat but grew up mostly in Harker Heights. My family is local and I enjoy spending time with my nephews and niece. My husband, John, and I have been married for 6 years. We have a son, Oliver, who is turning ONE in August and a dog named Marley.
Please call or email me if you have any questions! And, if you are wondering how to pronounce my last name, I tell people it is Bisson rhymes with Nissan.
