Counselor Administrative Assistant
My name is Tammy Turnbo and I am in my 21st year at Salado High School. I started this position in 2014. Prior to that, I served as the Secondary PEIMS Specialist for SISD from 1999 to 2014. I have been married to my husband for 25 years. We have three children and 8 grandchildren. My hobbies include spending time with family, shopping and watching various college sports. Being able to work directly with the students has been a very rewarding experience since becoming the Counselor’s Administrative Assistant for Salado High School.
My duties include:
- Providing assistance in academic advising under the supervision of the counselors which includes helping students with their personal graduation plan options, course selections and schedule changes.
- Building the master teacher schedule and ensuring state codes for all courses are up to date in the student software program.
- Maintaining individual graduation plans in the student software program.
- Calculating GPA/Class Rank and helping confirm transcript information is up-to-date for all students.
- Assign and maintain CTE information for all students.
